Is it really only Tuesday? Seems like this one is going to be a long week so for today, just something pretty to cheer you up {or maybe cheer me up}! Well not to be to cliché here but yesterday I was feeling a little {blue}…it’s something about Monday’s I suppose.. But today I’m turning all that into some productivity and funneling all the sad, blue beginning of the week energy into some fabulous shoes! Far and away my favorite something blue item is the wedding shoe. You absolutely cannot go wrong here. And today just goes to show how fun the blue wedding shoe is. I’m a sucker for Christian Louboutin, but blue wedding shoes don’t need to mean expensive. You can get creative or you can make this a splurge. But the reason it always works is that fun mix of tradition and your own personality. Somehow a good pair of shoes always makes me smile… and hopefully gets us all through the week!

Recently, I’ve found myself mildly obsessed with shoes. Call it a new phase in the new year but I can’t get shoes out of my mind…on the subway, in fancy storefronts, you name the place, and I bet there is an amazing shoe on some lucky girls foot. I’m just talking day to day here but when it comes to weddings, the shoe scene becomes that much more intense. I’ve been thinking of ways to make your wedding shoe stand out and while I can never get enough of sparkles, different textures like beading, crystals, and maybe even some mirrored snakeskin can become the perfect wedding shoe… a few favorites below thanks to Christian Louboutin, Stuart Weitzman, Benjamin Adams, Sergio Rossi, Miu Miu, and Jimmy Choo!

The boot is back today on One to Wed! But since we’re in winter mode these days, today we’ve found some pretty, sexy, and super comfy winter wedding boot picks (and I threw in a pair of wintery shoes to spice things up)!

We’re all looking for ways to show off our amazing shoe collection in our daily wardrobe, a night out, and obviously our wedding day, so this is it! Honestly the sparkles, the something blue, or the really crazy hidden under your dress choices are always fun, but nothing beats a stylish boot for a winter wedding. So whether you’re doing a glam affair (check out the first and tenth photos), taking pictures in the snow (third and fifth photos), want to go a little vintage (sixth photo), or prefer taking the trendy bootlet route (seventh, eighth, ninth and last) these choices are sure to seduce you into choosing a fabulous wedding boot for your winter wedding… but hey, if not, that’s why we threw in that traditional heel…

With so many of your wedding details obvious to guests, it nice to have a few “private” picks that you can show or keep to yourself if you prefer. And this is where the wedding shoe comes in…

Wedding shoes are never standard. There is not one style, design, color or trend that is lasting. With so many different types of brides, shoes can come in many forms, but because they are perfectly hidden underneath that gorgeous dress, why not get creative…with the avant-garde shoe!

So today I picked some of my favorite avant-garde styles for you to drool over like I’ve been doing. A bit of feathers, some floral organza, some lace and some structure, and finally some jewels make up my Monday shoe picks… enjoy!
