Valentine’s Love

Happy Valentine’s Day lovelies! As I mentioned yesterday, Valentine’s Day and I have a love hate relationship but today, it’s all about the love and highlighting how perfectly the colors of the holiday can actually blend for a wedding palette. It’s not everyday that you see red and pink getting along on the wedding front but when done right, it can be a unique but elegant combo. But hey, maybe not for everyone so I’ll leave you to decide.. What do you think? Red and pink… do they work together?

Valentine’s Day

{sigh}

I have a love hate relationship with this day. Well, I know it’s actually tomorrow but this is where the love comes in. Red & pink for two days straight. I know, it’s a lot. But aren’t they so pretty? And what I love about styled shoots are that they kind of bring out the best in a holiday or a theme, so today {and obviously} tomorrow is all about the red and pink palette, and I suppose the occasional heart. Thanks to Diana Gordon Photography for sharing with us!

Winter Tartan

My obsession with tartan only gets bigger as we get deeper and deeper into the winter so when this gorgeous Maryland shoot by dKin Photography came my way I instantly fell in love… With the flowers, the plaid shirt + wedding skirt combo, the beautifully set table and everything in between. So I can only hope that it inspires your creativity as much as mine!

Christmas Countdown: The Golds, Blacks & A Touch of Red

Is it the weekend yet? Seems like this week is going by beyond slowly but we’re almost there! Actually we’re almost to Christmas as well last time I checked.. half way just about! So for today’s Christmas inspiration, a color palette full of a few untraditionals… sheer black with hints of gold and red. And somehow, surprisingly, it’s one of my favorites! Perfect for a statement Christmas. Happy Thursday!

Christmas Countdown: A Classic Christmas

While this may be a little too predictable as far as Christmas wedding ideas go, no Christmas countdown is complete without a classic Christmas palette. It doesn’t need to be extreme {in fact it shouldn’t be} but hints of reds, whites, creams and greens will go a long way in creating the Christmas and holiday feel. So if that’s what your going for, then while you may not think so right away… this palette could be a keeper and perfect for your late December wedding!
