Outdoor Garden Wedding

As another weekend rolls around there’s nothing much like a garden wedding, especially one set in as gorgeous of a setting as the Willowdale Estate. Captured by Brett Alison Photography and complete with umbrella accessories, this wedding is all about quiet elegance. The ceremony and reception were both set at an old stone mansion and English-style garden and the bride used deep purples, moss/sage greens and silver accents to blend into the setting. From there, the venue did much of the work itself providing the perfect backdrop to take it all in!

Happy Tuesday lovelies! We found such a wonderful outdoor affair today by Matt Andrews Photography that I’m so excited to share! Set at a private home in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, the bride {Shannon} walked down the aisle to the groom {Shane} singing a Brighteyes song. As if this isn’t enough {we know that it is…}, the groom’s father is songwriter Gary Baker, so the rehearsal dinner music was amazing with several special guests! But my favorite detail? Those bouquets… what a way to end April in style!

As Friday {finally} rolls around it’s way past time for the weekend! And we’re ending the first week in April on a high note with a fun trend for a spring wedding… a black color palette! You heard it right, a black color palette! I especially gush over this idea when it’s black for a garden wedding; there is something about the combination of garden and the elegance of black details… from a black chalkboard welcome sign or menu, a black cake, a black wedding gift card collector, I think you get the idea. April officially equals Spring in the wedding world and prices are starting to heat up as Summer is just around the corner. This is always that time where we know budgets are out the window… Which is exactly why I wanted to kick off the wedding season with a beautiful and intimate garden wedding full of DIY handmade pieces like the wedding programs, the bride’s bouquet, and boutonnieres proving that a Spring/Summer wedding can be stunning – and not too expensive. The wedding, by Sincerely Liz Photography, was held in a peaceful outdoor garden, the colors – blue-grey patterned bridesmaids dresses blended with pale yellow touches here and there screams spring, but the DIY work pays off here; striking that just right balance of gorgeous and realistic!

The Romantic Garden Wedding

I’ve said it once but I’ll say it again.. I’m mildly obsessed with the idea of a whimsical, enchanting garden wedding. Although it’s hard to top just the garden, there are always ways to embellish it and make it that much better! Today, inspiration for the romantic garden wedding.

The quintessential garden wedding will be entirely outdoors (that’s ceremony included) so to start, one of the most incredible outdoor ceremony pictures (first photo below), set in the middle of an impeccable garden; everything is perfect here. The pink flowers inspire pale pink bridesmaids dresses (second photo); a light pink seems to blend perfectly with the garden and this color is one of the most romantic choices for bridesmaids dresses. And then there is the reception. Decorated with flowers and greenery, it’s hard not to evoke romanticism, but decorate your garden reception like the one below (fifth picture), and you start to see how the little things differentiate the garden from the romantic garden for your wedding day!
