Pale Pink + Baby Blue Wedding Bliss

Call it a little dollhouse-esque but I still kinda like it… initial thoughts?? It’s very pale pink and baby blue, erring on the side of baby nursery but for a Spring wedding with the right {elegant} details it can create a perfect palette. And if you’re not into both colors combined they are obviously also both popular {and pretty} choices…separately. But back to the original idea… the point is that combining colors that maybe make you think of something else and not ones that you would normally put together for a wedding palette can work. And if it’s not your cup of tea for a wedding… how about bridal shower??

Something {Powder} Blue

Another winter Monday rolls around and I don’t know about you but I’m thinking Spring. One of my always favorite wedding palettes is powder blue and while it can work for any season, it’s simply perfect for Spring. It’s not so traditional that it’s boring, and it’s a stunning blend of winter transition without going summer overload. So just a few of my favorite powder blue ideas…and trust me, if you look hard enough there are too many to chose from!

Christmas Countdown: Navy Blue Bliss

Merry Christmas Eve! I simply can’t believe that Christmas is upon us but here it is. And while I was tempted to go all red and green in my usual fashion, I also kind of wanted something different – and a little striking. So a navy blue Christmas Eve it will be. As I started to put together these ideas for a palette it came together more and more in my mind so much that I can just imagine the girls in navy around a glittering tree. Not just one something blue with this wedding… everything blue!! Merry Christmas!

Christmas Countdown: A Blue Christmas

Now that we’re in the full swing of December and our Christmas countdown feels a little more like Christmas, it’s time to bring on the Christmas colors. I loved the icy blue Christmas palette we did last year and definitely wanted something blue for this year’s Christmas countdown so we just turned it a bit darker by a few notches; a little less icy but still light blue. One thing I love about a Christmas wedding is how different colors go so perfectly with the reds and greens of the season. I love seeing bridesmaids in pale blue dresses against the backdrop of a Christmas tree and the contrast of those different colors make for a unique total palette. So whether or not you’re into experimenting with a Christmas color palette I’m hoping that maybe these pictures will give you at least something to think about!

Something “Blues”

In the spirit of the holidays, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday {really??!} I decided it was perfect timing for wedding shopping – for that special something blue! I picked a few of my favorites… J Crew blue suede pumps {perfect for a non-budget busting wedding shoe}, fun shades of blue nail polish to hide a little something blue on your toes, an awesome blue lace skirt for one of my favorite fashion ideas {the bridesmaids skirt}… or if you prefer more traditional, a perfectly navy J Crew bridesmaids dress, and for a little fun, ever thinking of picking up a cute tote for a bridesmaids gift? If so, I love the one below!

Happy Shopping!
