Happy Tuesday lovelies! After a rocky start to the week {major Monday blues} I wanted a good kind of blue for a happier Tuesday! So peaches and blues it is for today; the perfect inspiration for a mid-May wedding. You don’t always see shades of blue in one palette but when complimented by a peach or pale pink, a lighter blue and a dusty grey-blue work just right together! The evidence? In pictures…

Shades of Blue {Wedding Shoes}

Well not to be to cliché here but yesterday I was feeling a little {blue}…it’s something about Monday’s I suppose.. But today I’m turning all that into some productivity and funneling all the sad, blue beginning of the week energy into some fabulous shoes! Far and away my favorite something blue item is the wedding shoe. You absolutely cannot go wrong here. And today just goes to show how fun the blue wedding shoe is. I’m a sucker for Christian Louboutin, but blue wedding shoes don’t need to mean expensive. You can get creative or you can make this a splurge. But the reason it always works is that fun mix of tradition and your own personality. Somehow a good pair of shoes always makes me smile… and hopefully gets us all through the week!

Board {#2} Presidential Red & Pretty Blue

I can’t seem to pass up any holiday on the wedding front so I figure why not dazzle you all with a presidential red and pretty in (light) blue inspiration board filled with lots of wedding fun. Since it’s not the 4th of July, I’m steering clear of red + navy and instead keeping it clean and crisp with a pale pond blue and bright red. It may be the middle of February but that doesn’t mean we’re not in summer planning mode, and this palette is perfect for a summer affair; I’m envisioning beach, modern and bright… Keep dreaming, summer isn’t too far off!

As you may know, I have a small obsession with all the something blues floating around the wedding planning world so I couldn’t help myself from devoting a full post to a something blue winter edition. While I love the blue wedding palette, this is not it. Today is just for those little something blues that you may not have thought to incorporate in your winter wedding. Each one is fun and maybe even a little unique, but all are perfect for your winter wedding. We’ve picked a blue photo prop (yes, it’s a blue velour chair – goes perfectly with a snowy landscape), blue bridesmaids dresses, blue macarons, blue mittens, a blue tie for your groom, a blue floral headpiece, a blue cake decoration, and that little something blue in your wedding bouquet…

The Wedding Palette – A Midnight Blue New Year’s Eve

Happy New Year’s Eve! I don’t know about you but I cannot believe that it’s the end of 2012! Wasn’t it just the beginning?? I wanted to do something in the spirit of a New Year’s Eve wedding today and was inspired by my friend throwing her newly engaged brother and soon-to-be sister in law an engagement party yesterday with a midnight blue and silver theme. That got me thinking how I actually do love midnight blue and how it’s well, a perfectly fitting color for NYE for no other reason than it just is!

So I’m doing my own spin on this color palette for a New Years inspiration board of a post. You can put the pieces together but we have a festive blend of fashion (for the girls and boys), decor, floral and some fun touches like these awesome blue agate coasters (last photo)!
