It’s a destination wedding weekend here on One to Wed and we’re going to Scotland for some of the prettiest destination wedding ideas for a fall Friday! For us dreamers out there, Scotland is a perfect place for a fairy-tale like wedding complete with castles, greenery, and obviously bagpipers in kilts! So today is all about the destination affair and how even a non-island destination (Scotland) can be absolutely perfect for a destination wedding.
So the first step in planning your destination wedding is planning your normal wedding. Think wedding dress, color palette, venue and all that jazz! It’s all really the same, destination or not! But when you are thinking Scotland, you’re thinking of things like how fabulous of a venue can I chose to make my guests feel transported to another land (check out the Glenapp Castle, fifteenth photo), and what types of little touches can I add to make this wedding out of this world (I love groom + groomsmen + ring bearer kilts!) Then finally what can I do to make guests feel like this is really a destination (add lots of Scottish touches like the fabulous blue tartan table settings, twelfth and seventeenth photos). So as usual, today’s destination pick comes down to the details and how you can incorporate these into the normal planning process..
