Happy happy Friday! Thank goodness for the weekend! To celebrate, we’re dreaming of weddings all the way down to Florida to inspire some brides into considering a destination wedding to the Sunshine State or even better, bringing a little bit of a Floridian flare to their own hometown wedding!
Since I am by no means a Florida expert, this post is all about my imagination; if I were having a Florida wedding this is exactly what it would look like. Pink is an obvious must. Love it or hate it… just pick it if you’re going Florida. I’m not exactly sure why I think pink and Florida but I feel pretty strong about this one so let’s just go with it. Now that we have the color (that’s singular not plural this time), it’s time for the fun. Whether you are using the Floridian style as inspiration or planning a destination wedding there, I love a reception venue that is…. you guessed it, pink! This just sets the tone and makes for beautiful pictures. I’m envisioning a light pink stucco, palm trees and lots of greenery. For the venue I love the Boca Roton Resort (first photo), and the Biltmore Hotel (third photo). Both define timeless Floridian elegance. Another fun touch for any wedding is a colorful choice of shoes and today I found this adorable pair of Vera Wang pumps (second photo). They are light and airy – perfect for this theme. And to add a twist? While I will forever love the traditional wedding garb, for the gutsy bride how about this awesome fitted, very light pink dress (last photo)! Enjoy the weekend!
